Food Service Worker Duties
SUMMARY
This is routine manual work involving food production in Food
Service Cash Operations.
Work involves preparing and making sandwich spreads, slicing and
weighing of meat products for the assembling, packaging, and
packing of sandwiches. Activities and decisions are routine in
nature. Employee follows written and/or oral procedures and
practices. Employee implements procedures, methods, and
activities developed by others.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May assemble a variety of sandwiches
May prepare and mix a variety of spreads for sandwiches
May slices meat products for sandwiches and sub sandwiches
May pack prepared sandwiches for transport and delivery to units
on campus
May clean and sanitize work area and equipment
May clean all table surfaces with sanitizer
May sweep and mop floors
May wash and sanitize slicing equipment after every use
May clean and organize coolers and freezers
May record temperature setting on coolers and freezers
May operate commercial dishwasher
May wash all dishes, utensils, knives and containers.
Perform other duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Some experience in kitchen work; ability to follow written and
oral instructions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to operate commercial dishwasher, meat slicer, buffalo
chopper, mixer, and electric knives
Ability to handle knives and other sharp items in a safe manner.
