Program Coordinator Duties
SUMMARY
This is the fourth in a series of five positions which increase
in responsibility that is determined by subject expertise,
program scope, and accountability for program performance.
A person allocated to the Program Coordinator category serves as
the primary representative for programs that provide outreach
and educational services to a variety of clientele. These
programs are generally external to the University and represent
a specific area of interest. A person allocated to the Program
Coordinator II position serves as the primary program
representative for a large program or a single program with
several components and may supervise other professional staff
depending on the specific program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Full responsibility for program development and management.
Evaluates program performance.
Typically supervises program staff.
Directs outreach activities for program.
Makes presentations to program clientele and funding agencies.
May perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Master's degree with no experience; OR
completion of a Bachelor's degree and several years of
experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of program area.
Ability to supervise and evaluate staff.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
