Senior Sales Professional Duties
SUMMARY
A person allocated to this line of work is expected to sell and
promote the Georgia Center as well as book conferences and/or
book & coordinate highly complex non-conference events,
demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of event planning.
Knowledge of supervisory practices & principles. A person in
this position may also train and supervise other sales staff and
be responsible for developing promotional materials. Negotiates
contracts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiating contracts and closes sales. Book & coordinate
complex non-conference events from creation to closing; Prepare
proposals for conference sales; Coordinate & conduct site
visits; Book conferences; Promote the Center through sales calls
and trade shows; Provide training for new staff; Supervise sales
staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Four year college degree plus 4 years of experience in meeting
planning and/or sales.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated proficiency in customer service/public relations
skills; demonstrated proficiency in event planning; demonstrated
efficiency in sales techniques; superior communications skills;
knowledge of accounting and data base management.
