Research Professional IV Duties
SUMMARY
This is the eighth in a series of eight titles for positions
involving the performance and management of duties in a research
setting. Positions assigned to the Research series have
increasingly more responsibility for research design and
modification, data analysis, interpretation, project management,
results summarization, and formal presentations.
The Research Professional IV plans and manages all aspects of a
project(s) including budget responsibilities, research design,
and project staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for project research quality.
May write final research report.
Directs the presentation of administrative reports.
Presents findings to sponsoring agencies and research community.
Initiates and writes grant proposals. (Note: non-PhD cannot
submit final grant applications & reports, which are usually
done by PI/faculty.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
PhD in related field or equivalent combination of Master's
degree plus skills and experience required.
Area-specific certification and/or training may be required and
other training will be provided as appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Applies an advanced professional knowledge of procedures and
