Assistant Center Housekeeper Duties
Assists the Center Housekeeper with the administrative and
supervisor work involving the management and direction of the
custodial/ facility set up and domestic housekeeping service of
a conference center facility.This position will assist the
Center Housekeeper in creatina a service-oriented team that
provides the guests of the GA Center with a clean
well-maintained comfortable environment in which to develop
their intellectual and human potential. In addition, this
position will be responsible for preparing the department
payroll, ordering supplies and managing the lost and found area.
This position will also act as the department leader in the
absence of the Center Housekeeper.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection of public areas throughout the GA Center and
direction of the public area staff.
Daily review of the department's payroll to insure production
standards are being met.
Daily management of the lost and found area to include to
logging items in, reponding to guests' inquiries and preparing
items for shipment
Inventory and ordering of department supplies
Processing biweekly payroll for the entire department
Attendance and involvement in department meetings as well as
Division and Center-wide staff meetings.
Coordination and follow through on staff training
At the direction of the Center Housekeeper, create or update
department checklists, inspection forms
and other department forms.
Coordination of staff involved in room renovation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of hotel management
principles and practices; techniques used in housekeeping
operations for large hotels or conference facilities; and human
resources policies. Bilingual highly desired.
