Event Facilities Manager Duties
SUMMARY
This position provides management of meeting and event services,
including physical logistics support and audiovisual services. A
person occupying this position must also research, purchase, and
maintain current inventory of technical equipment to meet client
needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers and manages all operational, clerical, technical,
financial, and personnel functions for events;
Oversees the publishing of daily event information and support
products;
Inspects and ensures all meeting and exhibit spaces are prepared
accurately and are operationally ready for the scheduled events;
Provide direct technical support and supervision of staff of
technicians;
Analyze yearly expenditures and develop the department budget.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in relevant field; six (6)
years in supervisory and managerial roles.
Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to develop ideas that will result in new and improved
methods, services, programs, and processes.
Must have managerial and supervisory experience;
Working familiarity with audiovisual systems;
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals
and financial reports;
Ability to communicate effectively;
Ability to hire, supervise and assess performance of facility
events personnel. |
