Event Planner Assistant Duties
SUMMARY
This position provides various support functions to the Event
Planner in the production of conferences, training sessions,
governmental agency work, etc. A person appointed to this
position would provide meeting and event management services for
training, education, public affairs, and other areas. These
events are produced for local and stage government elected and
appointed officials, employees, general public, educators, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates with Events Planner to discuss registration plans
and options;
Provides backup data entry support for assigned events;
Facilitates on-site and off-site registrations for assigned
events;
Close registration process by reconciling budget, creating
transcripts, etc.;
Provide assistance to conference attendees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a standard high school (or GED) and experience
in clerical/secretarial field. Some positions may require
meeting planner certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have excellent customer service and public relation skills.
Must have effective communication skills.
Knowledge of accounting and data base management helpful. |
