How to Write a Functional Resume

Job Search
job title, keywords, company, location jobs by job search

If you changed your jobs frequently during the past years, you'd better choose this type. Using such format, experience that are not related to the position you are seeking will be de-emphasized.

A functional format looks something like this:

  • Contact Information
  • Job Objectives
  • Areas of Expertise
  • Employment History
  • Personal Interests

Below is a example of functional resume. Note the emphasis on skills (communicational skills, interpersonal skills, and management skills) not on employment history.
