Facilities Manager Duties
SUMMARY
This is highly responsible professional, managerial &
administrative work. Individual manages & directs all facilities
(buildings, etc.) for a school or division or a particularly
large facility or facilities (one or more buildings). May
include building maintenance, environmental / safety regulation
compliance, grounds maintenance, custodial support, cafeteria
support, organization of events, space assignments, etc.
Individual has supervisory & budgetary responsibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, directing, coordinating & budgeting for all facilities
including hiring personnel, supervising facility maintenance &
upgrades, and long-range facility planning;
Coordinate activities with other UGA departments and external
clients (may include Federal & State agencies and industry
leaders);
Design facilities to meet needs of multiple individual projects;
Supervise & resolve problems concerning facility usage,
operations, equipment malfunction, air systems, etc.;
Attend conferences & training and evaluate & implement programs
contributing to state-of-the-art facilities;
Prepare & maintain annual budget for building use and facility
maintenance;
Maintain usage records & invoice clients accordingly.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Bachelor's degree plus six years related
experience; Georgia State Drivers License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of UGA building operations and support;
Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships;
Proven ability and experience with UGA facilities management. |
