Foodpro Manager Duties
SUMMARY
Able to establish and maintain a consistent food cost in all
dining operations. Manage the computertized food production
system in Food Services for 30,000 daily meals. Monitor food
cost for the department. Computer skills required - Handheld
personal data assistants are required for automated inventory
taking.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with all food service locations to coordinate food
production as it relates to the automated production system.
Respond to user's FoodPro issues and resolve problems or refer
appropriately to other sources. Continue with on-going project
of getting all units with UGA Food Services fully on-line with
FoodPro. Verify all unit inventory ratios are correct and
maintained for cost consistencies. Perform full system backup
and then initiate weekly start up in FoodPro system. Conduct
weekly sessions with individuals and individual units to ensure
problem resolution and efficient use of current programs.
Convert all Cost Categories within FoodPro to accurately reflect
what expenses are incurred in each unit. Learn upgrades to
current FoodPro and document new procedures accordingly. Provide
instruction to all FoodPro users. Performs other related work as
assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS in Food Service Management/Production. Business/accounting
background is also recommended.
