Digital Imaging Coordinator Duties
SUMMARY
To coordinate the activities of the photographic services staff,
to plan, design & maintain the units databases, web pages and
servers, to produce photographs for publication, to maintain the
photographic equipment, computer hardware and software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate photo assignments, print & scanning requests from
campus units to photo staff
Maintain databases & servers used to record all business
transactions for unit
Maintain online web database of photos & servers required to
serve web site
Advise campus units requesting photographic support & provide
solutions to photo needs
Attends photo assignments; takes photos & coordinates
processing, printing & filing
Manages time of student workers
Oversee equipment & supply inventory; order new & replacement
equipment & supplies. Ensure all photographic equipment,
computer hardware & software is up to day & in good working
order
Oversee long-term photographic needs of campus clients & news
media. Plan photo assignments to fill stock needs of campus
units. Consults with clients. Maintains current photo files of
faculty, staff administrators & campus for media use
Creates databases for all units record keeping & web pages for
unit's web site
Consults with MacIntosh computer users in division. Determines
solutions to their computer problems & needs. Consults with
FileMaker Pro users in division
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS and eight years related work experience.
