Assistant Director Global Programs Duties
SUMMARY
Assume responsibility for international programs in the College
of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences in the absence of the
Director. Develop programs and funding proposals, which engage
our faculty and agents internationally. Promote the visibility
of CAES international programs. Coordinate the academic
component of international programs with the research and
extension programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Seek and develop proposals to support Office of Global Programs
international mission.
Work with faculty to develop international partnerships and
grant proposals.
Implement and promote new programs and projects.
Assist in hosting international visitors, students, and study
abroad groups.
Keep faculty informed of international grants, fellowship,
conference presentation and consultant opportunities. Provide
support in their efforts.
Supervise bi-monthly reports.
Supervise Administrative Secretary.
Promote the visibility of international programs via news
releases and web-based reports.
File reports to funding agencies on the status of projects.
Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Fluency in Spanish and/or French. Significant experience with
international travel, especially in Latin America, Europe and
Africa. Desirable Training and Experience Masters Degree or more
than 5 years related experience beyond a BS degree with a
minimum of 2 years international.
