Research Professional Duties
SUMMARY
This is the seventh in a series of eight titles for positions
involving the performance and management of duties in a research
setting. Positions assigned to the Research series have
increasingly more responsibility for research design and
modification, data analysis, interpretation, project management,
results summarization, and formal presentations.
The Research Professional III plans and manages all aspects of a
project(s) including budget responsibilities, research design,
and project staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for project research quality.
Writes research results.
Directs the presentation of administrative reports.
Presents findings to sponsoring agencies and research community.
Assists with writing grant proposals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree and some experience or equivalent combination of
Bachelor's degree plus experience and skills required.
Area-specific certification and/or training may be required and
other training will be provided as appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Applies an extensive professional knowledge of procedures and
