Vending Services Supervisor Duties
SUMMARY
This is responsible specialized administrative work managing
vending and other services for an Institution which are secured
from private enterprise on a contractual basis. These services
include food and beverage vending, copy machine vending, and cap
and gown distribution.
An employee in this class determines service needs through
inspection, analysis of location, sales and requests for
additional services from the Institute's departments. On a
day-to-day basis, work is performed independently; general
review is accomplished through periodic conferences and
observation of results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches and conducts surveys to determine vending needs for
the campus.
Inspects vending locations to determine whether vending
equipment operates properly and is maintained in good repair.
Conducts tests to verify product size, price, quality, and
freshness.
Analyzes vending sales reports to determine if changes in
services are necessary.
Prepares monthly reports, detailing product lines and locations.
Maintains up-to-date inventory of all campus vending equipment,
noting model and serial number.
Maintains daily personal contact with departments concerning
service complaints, equipment malfunctions and related problems.
Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited college or university and
experience in administrative work or specialized work related to
vending services; or any equivalent combination of training and
experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of research methods for data gathering in response to
requests for vending services.
Knowledge of departmental and Institutional rules, regulations,
and policies, in order to make work policy decisions.
Skill in planning and organizing project goals, policies, and
procedures.
Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
Ability to work effectively with Institutional officials,
employees, students, and vending contractors. |
