Associate Director Off International
Affairs Duties
SUMMARY
The person in this position directs planning, organization, and
administration of day-to-day operations of the Office of
International Affairs and is responsible for personnel
management, review, and resolution of problems, which could
include but are not limited to classification issues as well as
employment grievance matters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition, the person who holds this position ensures
compliance with University policies and procedures as well as
with local, state, federal, and Regent's laws and regulations
for the implementation of the Office's International Cooperative
Agreements and Addenda and Out-of-State Tuition Waiver Program.
The person in this position researches and implements strategic
goals and new initiatives for the Office, drafts reviews and
reports of these goals and initiatives, and serves as a liaison
for faculty, directors, and administrators interested in
International endeavors as well as assisting with occasional
fundraising efforts and event planning for the Office, and
entertains foreign visitors and hosts International Delegations
to the Office.
The position reports directly to the Associate Provost of
International Affairs. The person in this position may act or
sign for the Associate Provost in the AP's absence and may
travel for or with the Associate Provost.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Earned Master's Degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
3-5 years experience in International Education or Study Abroad
administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research capabilities.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines: internal, external, and self-imposed.
Self-starter and initiative taker who can work both
independently and collaboratively. |
